Damian Elahi

DAMIAN ELAHI is Senior Director of Business Affairs at WARNER BROS. RECORDS in Burbank, California, with responsibilities for an artist roster including Avenged Sevenfold, My Chemical Romance, and Static-X. Damian was previously Business Affairs Counsel at INTERSCOPE-GEFFEN-A&M RECORDS in Santa Monica, California (2006-09), handling platinum artists such as All American Rejects, Daddy Yankee, and Pussycat
Dolls as well as ventures including Maloof Music and DrinksAmericas. Before that, Damian served as Business Affairs Counsel for Los Angeles based VENTURA DISTRIBUTION/FIRST LOOK STUDIOS (2005-06), and Damian represented entertainment industry clients at Hollywood based LAPOLT LAW, P.C. (2002-05).

Damian has authored various industry publications, including the comment Record Distributors’ Minimum Advertised Price Provisions in the Loyola of Los Angeles Entertainment Law Review (2001) and the monthly column Backstage Pass – Bitz on the Biz in MeanStreet Magazine (2003-04). Damian’s industry presentations include guest lectures at UCLA Extension, Musician’s Institute of Technology, Southwestern Law School, and South Texas College of Law as well as panel discussions at Oklahoma’s annual D-Fest Music Festival and Louisiana’s annual Cutting Edge Music and Film
Conference. For fun, Damian produced the short film, The Boss (1998), wrote/produced/directed the feature film, Diary of a Demise (2006), and played drums in the rock band, Suspect Class (2000-02). Damian is a graduate of the University of Southern California and Loyola Law School in Los Angeles.
