I'm coming to Dfest, where should I stay?
Our host hotel where the conferences, clinics and trade show are held is offering a special discounted rate to our attendees of $89 a night, which is a great rate at a 4-star hotel. The hotel is the beautiful Crowne Plaza Hotel at 100 East Second Street. It's literally walking distance of the festival event site in the Blue Dome District, so it's the perfect place to stay.

What is the security going to be like at Dfest?
Event security and bicycle and foot patrol will be located throughout the site for the entire duration of the event. If you have an EMERGENCY, find a staff person with a radio, go to an information tent, med tent, or tell one of the security personnel.
In 2009, you will absolutely be required to have an official festival wristband securely on your wrist to enter the gated festival areas. A new entrance system has been developed at all entrances to ensure safety and security at each of the gated festival areas. No one will have access to outdoor gated festival stages without an official Dfest festival wristband. There will be additional security to check bags and purses as well as trash cans for disposal of prohibited items in the gated festival areas. All festival wristbands must be securely worn on the wrist - no entrance for folks with loose, stretched, cut, or torn festival wristbands.
What are the exact set times?

I just found out I can't attend for a really good reason. Can I get a refund?
All of our materials, both printed and on the web, clearly state in multiple places that Dfest registrations and tickets are non-refundable.
There are NO REFUNDS/NO EXCHANGES on festival tickets and wristbands.
If you cannot attend the conference this year, you may transfer your registration to another person only for Dfest 2009. You need to notify us in writing of the designated recipient of the registration. The person receiving the registration then needs to complete a current registration form annotating the payment section at the bottom that he is taking the transferred registration. All registration materials and the website form state "Payments are non-refundable for any reason including, but not limited to, failure to use Dfest credentials due to illness, acts of God, travel-related problems, and loss of employment...unused registrations have no value and cannot be credited to future years or events".
Is there anything else I should know?
Take care of yourself, please eat enough, drink enough water (it's really hot in July, so it's important to stay hydrated), and get enough rest so that you can enjoy the second day of Dfest as much as the first. Also, we want you to have fun, so please be courteous to other Dfest attendees, Dfest staff and event workers. We work really hard to provide you a memorable experience at Dfest at a great value, so please be respectful of our rules and HAVE A GREAT TIME!

We usually don't answer questions that we think are really stupid and you can use common sense to answer, so please make sure you have looked at all our FAQs before writing us.
